Seven Days In Sammystown (aka Melbourne)

Well ok, not actually Seven Days in Sammystown, because that was the breakthrough 1985 album by US band Wall of Voodoo, but seven days 'till lift off from cloudy, rainy, cold Melbourne, to fly half way around the globe before arriving in Paris.

Ah Paris. The City of Lights, The City of Love. Serge Gainsbourg, fromage, berets, Plastic Bertrand, serial-capitulators, hated by the English, loved by the world's romantics, home of Thierry Henry, Marie Antionette, and inexplicable Asterix films. Did I mention Betty Blue? No? OK then, the home of Betty Blue too.

This here blog will be a means of documenting a trip to France undertaken by one couple, and one best friend - Freebs, Mad & Ginger - as we traverse the length and breadth of France, on a four week tour.

I'm tipping there'll be loads of walking, stacks of talking, copious volumes of cheese, butter and sugar, loads of wine, and a whole lot of laughs.
I will try to update this site as often as possible whilst on the road, and of course, post as many photos too.

Do join us, won't you?
